Beliefs and Practices

  • The Bible (Old and New Testaments) is the inspired and infallible Word of God and is the final authority for faith and life.
  • We believe in one God, who eternally exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
  • The Triune God created humanity in His image with free will.
  • The first man, Adam, sinned by disobeying God, bringing spiritual and physical death.
  • By virtue of Adam's sin, humanity fell and now falls short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).
  • The Lord Jesus Christ, one of the three persons of the Godhead, was born of a virgin to seek and to save fallen humanity.
  • The Lord Jesus Christ, truly God and truly Man, died for the sins of humankind as the substitutionary sacrifice.
  • All who believe in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary are justified by His shed blood (Romans 5:1-2).
  • God the Father raised the crucified body of our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead (Acts 13:29-31), after which He ascended to heaven, where He is seated at the right hand of the Father as the High Priest and Head of the Church.
  • We believe in the pre-tribulation, pre-millennial rapture of believers, who will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).
  • All who receive the Lord Jesus Christ by repentance and faith are born again of the Holy Spirit and become children of God.
  • A believer has eternal security from the moment he or she receives the Lord as Saviour (John 3:16).
  • We believe in baptism by immersion, in obedience to the Lord's command (Matthew 28:16-20).
  • We believe in the priesthood of all believers (1 Peter 2:9).
  • We believe that church government consists of elders who meet the biblical qualifications set out in 1 Timothy 3:2-13 and Titus 1:5-9.
